#1 I've gotten the most meaningful tattoo I've ever gotten. This Amazing Woman Needs a Scar Cover-Up. I'm at a loss for words to describe what's going on.

We spoke with Jesse Whitley, proprietor of Stagecoach Tattoo Co. in Lubbock, Texas, to discover more about these delicate cover-ups. Jesse told Bored Panda, "The most skilled artists can work with or around birthmarks, whereas scar tissue can be tattooed straight over." "Tattooing over a scar causes the scar tissue to break down."

Whitley did point out, however, that the severity of the scar will have an impact on the artist's ability to create a decent tattoo in and around the afflicted region. "You must realize that tattooing over a scar is a distinct sort of skin that retains ink differently than regular, undamaged skin."

Scarred skin, according to experts, is tougher and more uneven than normal skin, making it less able to absorb ink.

It's also conceivable that the ink will move, resulting in a smeared or indistinct tattoo. As a result, it is critical that individuals select an experienced artist.

Every person's physique is unique. That also implies that everyone's pain tolerance is different. Scar tissue, on the other hand, is more sensitive to the needle. Getting a cover-up tattoo can be exceedingly painful for some people, especially those who have scars that have caused nerve damage or compression.

#6 I'm at a loss for words to express how much I was looking forward to doing this work and everything else that's to come.

Deepali Masand, a designer and creative director, is one of the persons on this list who has a tattoo. Deepali decided to share her tale after we approached her – the woman offered an open and honest description of how she came up with this lovely kitty artwork.

Everything began when she was 13 years old and was involved in a vehicle accident. Deepali's left arm became trapped between the road and the vehicle, resulting in a large burn mark.

#8 This Scar Cover-Up Tattoo

#9 With my first tattoo, I was able to cover up old scars from self-harm.

#10 Instead of covering a scar, it's sometimes enough to cleverly integrate it.

"Everyone recommended cosmetic surgery back in 2003, when the scar was still fresh," she told Bored Panda. "But as time went on, I became more at ease with the scar. It hadn't bothered me anymore."

"Then there was 2018, when I had to say goodbye to my first fur baby. That [frightened me as well]. For the Inktober prompt 'Tranquil,' I created this artwork as a homage to his passing. But last year, as I approached my 30th birthday, I chose to ink something significant to me on my body – I had been intending to get a tattoo for a long time."

#13 This Is Genius

#14 This is a 40-year-old scar that we disguised with cherry blossoms and butterflies.

The designer claimed to have had a revelation. "It came to me in the dead of night. I had to make a lovely memory to hide my scar. That exact moment, I called out to Arnab, a dear and extremely gifted buddy."

"He's also a [fantastic] tattoo and graffiti artist, and he was ecstatic when he heard this concept."
