For any woman, being a mother is an amazing experience. All moms value their children, but Savannah Combs, a first-time mother, was unaware of the extreme rarity of her twin girls. Combs continued to proudly post images of her two-year-old children online despite criticism from people who had never met them.

The Delighted Mother
Savannah Combs was overjoyed to learn she was having twins. When the doctors informed her that she was expecting identical twins, her joy soared. However, there was more fascinating information.
Combs did not perform a diagnostic test to validate the possibility that at least one of the twins had Down syndrome at birth. Because intrusive testing may result in miscarriage, she declined to find out whether the infants had any underlying health issues.
Combs was prepared to love her children for who they were and didn't want to lose any of them. "Every [prenatal] appointment they were alive was a blessing to me," the happy first-time mother said.
It was definitely not an easy task to raise two exceptional children. Despite her best efforts to keep her daughters safe, she encountered detractors along the road. Combs is quite thrilled to be a mother to two-year-olds.
Welcoming Her Bundles of Joy
Two months ahead of schedule, on May 12, 2021, Combs gave birth to identical twin daughters, Kennadi Rue and Mckenli Ackerman, at the Wolfson Children's Hospital in Jacksonville, Florida. Her babies were flawless, but they were also quite uncommon.
As Mono/Di twins, Kennadi and Mckenli shared a placenta but had separate sacs. But they were unique in other ways as well.
Rare and Beautiful
The little angels were identified as having Mosaic Down syndrome, a condition that affects one in two million people. The girls spent over two months in the hospital due to their preterm birth.
According to Combs, her husband, Justin Ackerman, was originally quite upset over the twins' diagnosis. The mother, who was 23 at the time, was aware that many people would criticize her and her girls, but she valued them.
The Middleburg mother clarified that her twin daughters were typical children. They had distinct personalities, had mood swings, laughed, and sobbed. Kennadi, she said, was a "ray of sunshine." Unlike her twin sister, Mckenli was a "total diva."
Going Viral
They will succeed because they have emotions, beating hearts, communication skills, and the ability to do tasks similar to your own. In an interview with News4Jax, Combs stated, "It may be a step behind, but they're going to do it."
Combs decided to share their adventure on her TikTok account even though she was aware that her little ones may receive unfavorable comments. Many of their films have received millions of views on TikTok, making the priceless little jewels a viral hit.
Combs is still active on Facebook and TikTok because she wants to provide knowledge and awareness about Down syndrome. Regretfully, there are still some who never pass up the opportunity to disparage the young mother and her cute daughters.
Handling Criticism
"I wouldn't want those babies; if mine came out like that, they would be straight up for adoption," one individual told Combs. In her Facebook post, the devoted mother gave her ideal response:
"It's a good thing they were born to me and not to you," I said. By placing these infants with suitable parents who would love them no matter what, God understood what he was doing.
Mckenli and Kennadi kept up their good health and went to their weekly physical, occupational, and speech therapy sessions. Combs said she is proud to be the mother of her twin daughters, who have reached their milestones. We wholeheartedly concur with her!
In 2023, the twins reached two years old, and they continue to make people who follow their tale smile. Combs posted a number of photos of her twins in July, and their admirers and followers sent heartfelt remarks.
One social media commenter informed Combs that she was doing well as a mother while gushing about the children's "infectious little smiles" and cuteness. The twins were "so beautiful," according to another Instagram user, who also wrote:

An Inspiration for Others
Despite the criticism, Combs is a courageous and compassionate mother who chooses to adore her twin daughters. She also devotes her time and energy to treating everyone with compassion and respect and increasing awareness about Down syndrome.
